Dreaming of becoming a millionaire or make it a reality
If you want to be a millionaire, then not just work more. What are you talking about? Isn't that how one gets rich, by obtaining more money through work. Well, yes, but to become financially free, employment isn't the answer. Let me show you.
If you worked for $20 an hour for the rest of your life, you would make around $39,000 a year before taxes. It would take you 25 years to make a million dollars. That is if you never spent a single dime.
Sadly we live in a world that requires us to spend our income on rent, mortgages, insurance food and transportation. So that 25 years is more like 50 years if you're disciplined enough to save 50% of it. So in short If you want to become a millionaire you need to create a business and jobs or provide a service. Or make your current money work for you. Which is doing more than just working a normal 9 to 5 job.
So how does one become a millionaire then? Well, let me ask you another question? Why do you want to be a millionaire? If you have that money what would you spend it on or use it for? I would argue that whatever that is, try and find a way to make that your income. If you like clothes, articles for a publication or sell clothes. Love watching movies, how about trying to make one. WIsh you could drink cocktails on a beach for the rest of your life, become a cocktail consume and start bartender competition. Do you see what I'm getting at?
Don't waste 50 years of your life to do the thing that you love or that you are interested in. Do it now, and leave behind the belief that you need money to do it. Because the truth is, you don't need money to live out your dreams, you just need a little bit of a perspective change and willingness to try and make your dream a reality now. The only main difference is to live your dreams requires hard work now. Whereas to live your dreams when you retire just takes a lifetimes worth of work. Which one you choose is up to you.
