If you can't explain it simply, you don't understand it well enough.

If you say and talk enough, you will occasionally come up with some gems. But just because you said one or two plus things well over your lifetime, doesn't mean people should religiously listen to you. Quality over quantity. Junk food will occasional have a satisfying bit, but if all we eat is what you are serving, then we will surely be malnourished.

I recently read a book by a philosopher and to say it simple the book was dense and convoluted. I wanted to see the person's point of view of the world. Each chapter ended well, with a simple sentence that got to the crux of their argument. But throughout the book, these summaries were becoming fewer and fewer. I was getting less and less nourishing bits. And the book became a slog. This made me think about what Albert Einstein said: "If you can't explain it simply, you don't understand it well enough." Knowing this I grew tiresome reading this philosopher. And put the book down.

People who talk and articulate well are very enticing, appealing and allude an audience. Talking well tricks us into this false idea of intelligence. Sell-men, politicians (less and less in our modern age), economists, writers, public speakers, or even life coaches. All talk the talk, and many walk the walk, but a majority are just regurgitating shit. Sifting through it is the challenge and seeing it for what it is and who they are, is the trick. To do that we need to step back and look at the bigger picture, instead of being allured by the Piper. Recognise this and realise the cautions of Edward Reyner "An unbridled tongue is the chariot of the devil"

Be wary of someone that rambles. A person that keeps talking and talking to get their ideas or point across. Because if you listen long enough they begin to not even know or remember what they are talking about. Dward Bulwer-Lytton - "Words are mightier than the sword." The same goes for the words we speak. Not all words and people are true and all-knowing. So be careful what you consume, and deem correct. The more we know the more humble we become.
